Network Operations Center Technician
This position involves monitoring multiple systems running both Microsoft and UNIX based OS's. Technicians need flexibility in their ability to work any hours as overall coverage is required on a 24x7 basis. They will be required to login and execute basic commands on the UNIX based system, and login to Windows servers and perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting. A technician will also be responsible for managing communications between different work groups and to customers.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year experience in a senior help desk or NOC role

Associates degree in Computer science or related field, Bachelors degree preferred

Working knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 domain structure, Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory and Microsoft clustering technology

Ability to lift heavy equipment i.e. racking server equipment in the data center

Familiar with configuration and usage of email clients to include Outlook, Outlook Express and Entourage, and Thunderbird

Understand various access methods including POP, IMAP, HTTP (OWA), MAPI, RPC/HTTP, and SMTP Mail flow)

Expertise in troubleshooting server problems with a focus on rapid resolution of any system outages

Working knowledge of mobile technology, including Blackberry, Apple, and Android OS's.
