LEAD PROJECT ENGINEER

Operating for 20 years we employ over 1000 staff across 8 subsidiaries with offices in 4 continents including Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Manila, Accra and Toronto.
As a result of continued growth in our Mississauga office, we are recruiting for a Lead Project Engineer.
The Lead Project Engineer is accountable for:

Managing the quality of output of the project site teams including alignment with company, client, regulatory and contractual requirements

Managing the technical competence of the site teams in the delivery of the site activities is continuously enhanced developed to meet the requirements of the Client and their projects in accordance with the contract

Managing various procedures, work practices, plans, and protocols to enable site teams to work efficiently and maintain a consistent approach and consistently high standard of work

Managing the site teams in accordance with the company’s strategic plans and objectives

Ensuring safety, environmental, community and industrial relations, and quality plans and procedures are adhered to across the site
Reporting to the Manager of Projects, the ideal applicant will possess the following:

Engineering qualification or equal (extended experience in the engineering and/or construction fields).

10+ years project engineering experience in minerals processing and materials handling industry

Technical background with a broad multi-disciplinary base, preferably in mineral processing plant / infrastructure construction.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Demonstrate understanding and awareness of project implementation, constructability, OH&S, environmental, community and industrial relations issues.

Ability to achieve consistently high standards within budget and schedule constraints.

Demonstrated experience interfacing with the client

Strong commercial acumen
