Job Description:   

This Associate Marketing Manager, Paid Search is responsible for developing, executing, optimizing and measuring paid search campaigns that drive new customers to Ancestry. This role will own the day-to-day management and reporting of multiple high-impact search engine marketing accounts, under the guidance of the Senior Marketing Manager.

The Associate Marketing Manager, Paid Search will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:

  • Support paid search and conversion optimization for Ancestry’s global portfolio of brands:,,,,,, Ancestry DNA, Fold3,,, and
  • Plan, create, evaluate and refine paid search campaigns that efficiently drive new Ancestry subscribers
  • Work with internal stakeholders to formulate and test new ideas that improve conversion rate and expand access to additional customer audiences
  • Liaise with the broader Marketing, Biz Dev, Operations, and Product teams to support company initiatives with paid search
  • Execute on new ideas, start to finish, with appropriate partners and feedback from peers/executives
  • Generate reports for senior management team on paid search account performance, optimizations and learnings

Required Skills:

  • BA/BS in a quantitative field
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Hard-working and eager to learn the ins and outs of online direct marketing
  • 1-2 years’ experience executing and optimizing direct response campaigns with a proven ability to increase ROI
    • OR 1-3 years’ experience investment banking, consulting, business development, or analytics
  • Experience with web analytics such as Google Analytics a plus
  • Experience working with online subscription companies a plus
