Account Manager

JOB/OBJECTIVE:

Protect and grow existing account base by renewing contracts, uncovering new user groups, cross selling and upselling, and selling new products.  Maximize client satisfaction.  Consistently meet and exceed sales goals. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop territory of accounts via aggressive prospecting and selling
  • Negotiate multi year deals where appropriate
  • Develop and implement an account penetration program
  • Exceed monthly and quarterly sales quota
  • Visit all clients at least quarterly
  • Provide end user training for new users and new accounts
  • Develop hands-on knowledge about Reis' web-based information products and services. Become proficient in demonstrating Reis software to prospects vie WebEx and/or Placeware
  • Maintain and update account records in Reis' standard CRM system
  • Provide first-hand anecdotal feedback and recommendations on our marketing efforts based on direct experiences with customers and potential clients

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities required.   • 6+ years of direct account management experience in the information services industry, preferably in the financial information space.
  • Documented experience exceeding quarterly and annual goals 5 of the last 6 years
  • Experience selling information services, intangibles, or in the commercial real estate community.  Experience in Capital Markets/Investment Banking also interesting
  • Comfortable and competent with latest internet and software packages and programs
  • Understanding of Solution Selling methodology
  • Strong computer skills
  • Forecasting experience required
  • Experience in metric based selling environment, ie., calls, demonstrations, trials, etc.
  • Solid analytical aptitude and skills
  • Excellent verbal & written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Education Requirement: 4 year college degree
  • Preferable Education Requirement: Degree in Business or Economics
  • Minimum Experience Requirement: 5 years of high achieving experience in account management 
  • Preferable Experience Requirement: 6+ years high achieving sales management experience in information services and/or in the Commercial Real Estate community

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
  • Aggressive compensation plan including escalators that reward over achievement
  • Must have and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States if hired by Reis.
