Seeking friendly, knowledgeable, service-oriented Host/ess with a passion for hospitality to join our PUB 1842 team in the MGM Grand. We offer extensive training programs, a professional & team-oriented service environment and future opportunities for growth within a dynamic restaurant company.
Must be pleasant, conscientious and professional with an extensive knowledge of food, wine and service. The qualified candidate must be a motivated self-starter with excellent communication, problem resolution and organizational skills. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, ensure smooth service operations and quality service.
Responsible for initial guest interaction at the door, the Host/ess welcomes all who enter warmly, setting the tone for each guests’ experience. The Host/ess is expected to embody the hospitality and charm and professionalism of our organization. Duties include answering phones, managing reservations, showing guests to tables and maintaining the flow of service throughout the dining room. Must be pleasant, conscientious and professional with excellent hospitality instincts and drive to provide customer service.
- 1-2 years of full service restaurant experience preferred.
Cleanliness, organization and the ability to work well in a team situation are crucial to this position. Applicants must possess a strong dedication toward learning and continuous improvement. All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.

About PUB 1842:
Named for the year Pilsner beer was invented, PUB 1842 will offer a vast beer list featuring a wide range of American and international brews by the can, bottle or pulled from one of many taps. Beer flights will be available so guests may sample a variety of the more than 40 selections that include ales, pilsners, stouts and lagers. PUB 1842 will take a fun turn with classic cocktails.
PUB 1842’s playful menu will satisfy every comfort-food craving. Succulent starters will be served such as Crispy Fried Mozzerella with roast pork Sunday gravy; Crispy Chicken Wings with sweet and spicy chipotle glaze and blue cheese; and Soft Pretzels served with house-made American cheese fondue. No pub would be complete without an extensive burger list and Chef Mina has created a variety of inventive selections such as the Peanut Butter Crunch Burger with bacon jam, potato chips and pimento cheese and the Korean BBQ Salmon Burger with cucumber kimchi and Fresno peppers. Steaks, salads, sandwiches and hearty entrees will round out the menu.
