Job Description

New associates work on transactions which provide exposure to various investment banking services, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, refinancings and leveraged buyouts. In the Industrials Group, associates’ responsibilities consist of supporting new business development and investment banking engagements, including:


  • Preparing, analyzing and explaining historical and projected financial information;
  • Coordinating and performing business due diligence and executing M&A transactions;
  • Preparing confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches, and other presentations;
  • Valuing companies and businesses;
  • Helping to market and plan engagements; and
  • Building relationships and maintaining direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors.


The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated interest in industrials, a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting. Associates are given substantial responsibility and are encouraged to help us grow our business. The ideal candidate should be motivated, creative, outgoing and possess strong financial analysis skills. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory, keen analytical capabilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • An MBA with significant course work in accounting and finance is preferred.
  • At least one year of investment banking experience is also preferred.
  • No Class of 2013 graduates, please.
