Position Description:

MMM is currently seeking a Landscape Architectural Contract Administrator for Land Development, Municipal Institutional and Environmental projects based out of our Edmonton office.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Complete construction coordination and inspection for Land Development and Municipal projects of varying complexity and stages of construction
  • Produce project contracts and specifications ensuring all aspects of constructing the landscape design are encompassed
  • Prepare and submit progress claim certificates based on contractor/project coordinator submitted quantity recommendations, including review and approval of force accounts
  • Administer the contract tendering process based on schedule of quantities provided from Landscape Architectural design team
  • Demonstrate effective field coordination programs and tools
  • Involvement with all levels of construction coordination related to landscape design including various stages of complexities
  • Coordinate and conduct field project construction meetings including involvement in client and design meetings
  • Review design drawings for constructability and compliance with local regulations
  • Trouble shoot and resolve conflicts to ensure project fluidity and execution continually exceeds expectations
  • Key role in EH&S duties, including creation and execution of Project Specific Safe Work Plans (PSSWP)
  • Coordinate legal survey, geotechnical and other sub consultants for specified contract components
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and sub consultants on a daily basis to ensure applicable project information is efficiently communicated
  • Work closely within MMM Group’s broader Contract Administration and Geomatics team
  • Potential career growth opportunity to lead Landscape Contract Administration Team and assist with support and leadership of field work implementation


  • Diploma in Landscape Architectural Technologist or Degree in Landscape Architecture with 5+ years of experience and an emphasis on field coordination and construction administration
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Formal education / certificates in Contract or Construction Administration, Health and Safety, and /or Quality Control and Assurance will be considered a strong asset
  • Good working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is valuable asset
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other graphic programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign Sketchup , etc.) and hand drawing skills would also be considered positive assets but are not required
  • Current certification in First Aid will be considered as an asset but not a requirement to apply for this position. MMM Group offers First Aid training to our employees
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal, including teamwork and interpersonal abilities
  • Comfortable with working independently in both an office and field environment
  • A suitable working vehicle and valid driver’s license are required for this position
