Position Description:

MMM is currently seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our Buildings Division, located at our Thornhill office. Reporting to the manager, you will apply your Engineering knowledge on project work from conceptual design through to completion on both commercial and residential projects.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform structural analysis and design for new and existing buildings
• Delivered design solutions to high quality standards in a timely manner to meet project schedules
• Review design calculations, drawings and specifications provided by others
• Perform site reviews and contract admin services during the construction phase of projects
• Participate with others in establishing multi-discipline solutions for the Clients
• Participate with management in establishing proposals and budgets for new work
• Employ best practices in all aspects of a task

Qualifications:

• 4 years’ experience working in the Structural Engineering profession
• Graduation from structural engineering program at an accredited Canadian University or recognized International Engineering Teaching Institution
• Has worked with structural engineering design software using finite element analysis techniques
• Familiarity of the Ontario Building Code and CSA Design Standards
• P.Eng designation an asset but not a necessity
