Position Description:

Due to our current success, MMM is currently seeking Transportation Engineers to add to our Saskatchewan operations, located at our Regina and Saskatoon offices.  Successful candidates will join a tight knit team of transportation professionals and participate in the delivery of high profile multidisciplinary roadway design projects (from rural highways to interchanges and urban streets).

Responsibilities and Duties will include:

  • Highway design and design guidance to other team members
  • Liaison with all discipline team members, sub consultants, clients and agencies.
  • Involvement in a wide range of project requirements including but not limited to:
    • technical analysis and design,
    • project management,
    •  report preparation,
    • cost estimating,
    • the preparation and review of drawings,
    • contract specifications

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university;
  • Eligible for professional licensing with APEGS;
  • Experience with all aspects of highway/freeway design (e.g. alignments, geometrics, staging, utilities, roadside safety, quantities and cost estimates, documentation, constructability)
  • Ability to work with various software packages (e.g. Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Project and Power Point);
  • Experience with technical writing and report preparation;
  • Ability to estimate design level of effort, meet milestone schedule deliverables etc.;
  • Strong project management skills are an asset;
  • General understanding of other road design requirements (e.g. drainage/hydraulic design, environmental design/mitigation measures, engineering surveys, geotechnical investigations and design);
  • General understanding of QA/QC as well as OH&S practices/requirements;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Committed team player.
