The Banff Centre is a one-of-a-kind arts institution located on the side of Tunnel Mountain, overlooking the beautiful Bow Valley and the picturesque Town of Banff. We've been inspiring creativity and fostering innovation in Banff for eighty years. The seventeen buildings on our campus range in age from sixty-five years old to three years young. We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Plumber to perform maintenance and repair work on Banff Centre buildings.
The Journeyman Plumber performs work at the Tradesperson level in a wide variety of plumbing-related tasks including: installation and maintenance of plumbing and drainage systems, steam and condensate distribution systems, domestic hot and cold water systems, natural gas and propane systems, and heating fluid systems. He/she will be expected to prioritize their daily work, and be acquainted with purchasing procedures to order materials and equipment as needed. The Journeyman Plumber may be required to attend department and project meetings and be available to provide inspections, prepare estimates, develop plans for projects and renovations and identify and correct building deficiencies. He/she may be assigned to supervise, direct, and assist in the education of plumbing and gas fitting apprentices.

In accordance with CUPE 4318, this is a unionized, permanent, salaried support staff position, subject to a 6-month probationary period.
This position pays $4148.95 per month working 37.5 hours per week.
