Description

ITA International is currently seeking a diver supervisor who is motivated and talented individuals who can offer the knowledge, skills, and experience of diving personnel. The ideal candidates will be responsible for supporting diving services in the accomplishment of waterborne ship’s maintenance and underwater inspections of marine structures:

 

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of all Coast Guard, OSHA, ADCI & Governing Regulations that apply to the Diving Industry
  • Must have the ability to interact with ITA International Clients in a professional manner.
  • Must show the ability to be ITA International front line supervisor.
  • Use quality assurance techniques and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Assist Diving Services Division Head to schedule personnel training and testing required to maintain the status of the dive crew’s certifications and maintain records as required.
  • Assist the Diving Service Division Head in maintaining service equipment and schedule testing and certification for the proper operation of equipment necessary to perform all aspects of the Diving Service Division scope of capabilities, including but not limited to: dive gear and equipment, welding equipment, misc. tools, truck and trailer, etc., and to maintain associated records as required.
  • Supervise Dive Team; safely direct Dive Team in all diving service capabilities.
  • Perform dives at a depth no greater than 100 feet of seawater while utilizing commercial diving equipment, SCUBA and associated diving equipment.
  • Operate and maintain the diving air systems per OSHA Diving Air Standards.
  • Operate and maintain diving equipment (diving helmets, tanks, regulators, mask, fins, etc.) as required supporting diving operations.
  • Operate and maintain underwater camera and video equipment.
  • Operate and maintain the dive vessel and associated support equipment.


Basic Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years related experience working in military diving or OSHA commercial Air/Mix-gas diving or related professional environment.
  • Qualified Diving Supervisor for at least 2 years.
  • Association of Commercial Diving Educators Certification or equivalent Military Certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Passport.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain required government security clearance

 

Other Qualifications

  • Certified Red Cross First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and O2 provider preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel).
  • Current ADCI Diving Supervisor certification card.
  • Current ADCI Medical and Physical Examination Standards or equivalent.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds of equipment or supplies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of diving practices and theory, and knowledge of equipment uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Strong ship’s husbandry background is required.
  • Have personal dive gear.
