Internal Sales Consultant - Wealth Management

Description

The Internal Sales Consultant is responsible for creating an increased phone presence in the assigned region.  This position is responsible for new asset generation as well as client retention responsibilities.  This position focuses on identifying, contacting and qualifying high-net-worth investment management relationships for Calamos Wealth Management. 
Principal Accountabilities:
  1. Partners with a Regional Director in order to execute a business plan in order to generate business and grow AUM within Calamos Wealth Management.
  2. Proactively generates leads and identifies ways to increase assets.
  3. Meets new asset goals using activities such as phone contacts, email, and conference calls.
  4. Plans day and multi-tasks outbound calls, projects, campaigns and incoming calls.  Identifies and pursues leads generated from a variety of sources.
  5. Proactively engages clients by actively reaching out to them and fulfilling any requests for information.
  6. Serves as the main point of contact on a daily basis to clients within the territory; strives to meet or exceed client retention goals.
  7. Responds to requests for RFP’s and works with other associates in the firm in order to gather the necessary information and submit in a timely manner.
  8. Prepares presentations and materials for client meetings. 
  9. Interacts with clients and attends meetings with the Regional Director.  May assist with closing new business.
  10. Maintains a high level of understanding of the investment industry; is able to present all Calamos Wealth Management capabilities while keeping abreast of competing strategies and products.
  11. Enhances and builds upon relationships through effective proactive telephone calls and contact follow-up, as well as handling specific questions and resolving account problems.
  12. Logs all contacts each day as they are made in the CRM system, including: inbound/outbound calls, voicemails, email, literature, conference calls, etc.
  13. Consistently works to deepen existing relationships with high-net-worth investors to increase both our value added support to them and their assets with Calamos.
  14. Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree is required in business or other related discipline.
  2. 5 to 10 years of work experience in the Financial Services industry required.
  3. FINRA Series 7 & (63/65 or 66) required.
  4. Must be able to perform heavy phone work daily.
  5. Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, superior sales skills and an excellent client service aptitude and attitude.
  6. PC Skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and sales database applications.
