Title: Acquisition Specialist
Location: Washington, DC

Description

We are currently seeking a full-time mid-level acquisition specialist to provide contract administration support services to our clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Gathering and analyzing qualitative or quantitative data using a variety of methods and models;
  • Developing recommendations, executive briefings, and communication mssages and materials;
  • Providing meeting design, facilitation, and logistics coordination support;
  • Capturing and sharing knowledge and lessons learned from meetings and engagements;
  • Planning, tracking and driving follow-up on action items and improvement initiatives; and
  • Managing task budgets and ensuring timely, high-quality product delivery.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in the Federal acquisition arena.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Performance based acquisition experience with large programs.
  • Knowledge of performance-based contracting concepts, strategies, and governing rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Federal acquisition laws and regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and agency specific regulations.
  • Ability to provide guidance on regulatory, policy and related acquisition concepts.
  • Ability to provide clients with practical advice that supports their acquisition strategy.
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with senior level government managers.

Desired Skills

  • DAWIA in Contracting or Program Management, FAC-C, and/or CPCM certifications.
  • Experience in the 1102 job series as a Contract Specialist and/or Contracting Officer.
