POSITION OVERVIEW:

As part of the procurement group the Purchaser provides innovative, value added solutions to support world class operations and top decile financial performance.

The Purchaser is responsible for acquiring goods, services and supplies for maintenance and operations.  The position also has ownership for the divison's warehouse, inventory level, and accuracy.  The expectation is to work within budgets, meeting time deadlines and ensureing that materials and supplies are both cost effective and available when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous Purchasing experience with knowledge of purchasing in a manufacturing environment;

• Completed or registered to complete the CPP, SCMP, or another relevant designation/certification;

• Previous experience in a supervisory role;

• General knowledge of forest industry operations and equipment;

• Experience with a computerized maintenance system.
