Description

The INN at Turning Stone Resort and Casino, is recruiting a Front Desk Supervisor, Swing shift. Candidates must be flexible to work other shifts as needed and will work weekends and holidays.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Effectively schedules employees to ensure sufficient front desk coverage at all times.
  • Ensures all areas are working properly in the absence of the Inn Operations Manager.
  • Ensures front desk staff maintains complete knowledge of; and follow all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assists Inn Operations Manager with overseeing housekeeping staff, and other daily duties or tasks as assigned.
  • Maintains sufficient levels of all front desk materials and supplies.  Orders needed materials in a timely manner.
  • Regularly ensures that all systems are in working order and maintains complete knowledge of all system applications (i.e. P.M.S., Electronic Keys, Movie System, and Telephone System).
  • Effectively answers guest questions, solves problems, and handles all complaints in an appropriate and professional manner.
  • Consistently maintains a professional working relationship with Accommodations, Front Services, Tower Front Desk, and Front Services to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Reviews Non-Zero Balance report on a regular basis.
  • Prepares Hotel and Group Sales groups, and group information prior to group arrival.
  • Pre-blocks bus groups and other groups with priority.
  • Makes sure Housekeeping receives rooming lists for VIP’s, Entertainment, and Bus Groups on day of arrival.
  • Ensures Housekeeping is aware of all No Show rooms and Casino Sellout rooms prior to 8am.
  • Demonstrates complete knowledge of the night audit process.
  • Maintains breakfast area to ensure quality.
  • Works closely with Grounds and Facilities to maintain property aesthetics.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Must have at least a 2 year college degree or related experience.
  • Must have experience in a leadership role.
  • Hotel front desk experience required.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
  • Must possess computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
