Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Generalist Journeyman (External)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for external customers that have established Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) for IPM support. This includes tracking and reporting the level of utilization for each MOA customer.
  • Provide the following support to external customers with MOAs for technical support
  • Tier II/III support for IPM-related problems to IT operations and help desk functions
  • Assistance with integration of IPM-related technologies into current and future systems
  • Review of and assistance with proposed IPM-related engineering changes and upgrades
  • Assistance with development and updating of IPM-related documentation
  • For customer organizations with MOAs with provisions for Software Certificate Service, provide RA services for DoD or NSS PKI software certificates. This includes coordination with the supported organization for the assignment and administration of Trusted Agents (TAs) and other roles as specified by the applicable CPS and/or RPS. Process up to a maximum of 3,000 software certificate requests; additional certificates may be ordered via Software Certificate Service e-tokens
  • For customers with MOAs with provisions for NIPRNet Hardware Token Service, the contractor shall provide LRA services for the issuance of DoD PKI certificates on hardware tokens (the tokens themselves are GFE). This includes coordination with the supported organization for the assignment and administration of Trusted Agents (TAs) and other roles as specified by the applicable CPS and/or RPS. The contractor shall issue up to a maximum of 500 NIPRNet hardware tokens (including any certificates loaded on the token); additional tokens may be ordered via NIPRNet Hardware Token Service e-tokens
  • For customers with MOAs with provisions for SIPRNet Hardware Token Service,  provide LRA services for the issuance of NSS PKI certificates on hardware tokens (the tokens themselves are GFE). This includes coordination with the supported organization for the assignment and administration of Trusted Agents (TAs) and other roles as specified by the applicable CPS and/or RPS. The contractor shall issue up to a maximum of 7,500 SIPRNet hardware tokens (including any certificates loaded on the token); additional tokens may be ordered via SIPRNet Hardware Token Service e-tokens
  • For customers with MOAs with provisions for CPR support, the contractor shall test and make available the most current version(s) of CPR software (the software itself is GFE). Provide technical assistance as required to address local implementation issues. Support 12 CPR workstations for MOA customers; support for additional workstations may be ordered via CAC PIN Reset (CPR) Support e-tokens

 

Skills Required:

  • Significant experience in the DoD or Federal arena dealing with the technical aspects of enabling strong authentication and robust logical access control through use of public key cryptography and related technologies
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT with at least three (3) of those years in positions focusing primarily on DoD or Federal Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) or Public Key Enablement (PKE)
  • Background must include history of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting IPM-related products, conducting hands-on evaluation and testing of IPM-related technologies, and dealing with vendors to resolve technical issues as well as significant participation in policy working groups or governance bodies for DoD or Federal Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) or Public Key Enablement (PKE)
  • Must meet DoDD 8570.1/DoD 8570.01-M requirement: IAM or IAT III (CISSP certification or CISA, GCIH, CISM, GSLC)
