Internal Auditor

DUTIES REQUIRED TO ACCOMPLISH JOB (May include, but not limited to):

• Provide internal audit management with information concerning the adequacy and effectiveness of the system of internal controls within the I.M.P. Group of companies, while ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and Company policies.
• Plan and perform operational audits and special projects within the I.M.P. Group of companies.
• Review, evaluate and document internal control systems.
• Present to management the audit findings and practical recommendations to improve internal control weaknesses and inefficiencies.
• Prepare internal audit reports and tailored audit programs.
• Prepare year-end working paper files, financial statements and perform special year-end procedures for external auditors.
• Assist in special investigations for alleged occurrences of fraud and other areas of concern as directed by the Vice President, Taxation and Audit and/or the Director, Internal Audit.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• An undergraduate business degree with an accounting major and a recognized accounting designation, C.A., C.M.A. or C.G.A. is a must together with minimum of two years related working experience. (CIA designation an asset).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be well organized, analytical and display strong negotiating skills.
• Computer literate with hands-on experience in Microsoft Office.
• Must have motor vehicle and be free to travel.
