Senior Programmer Analyst

The Sr. Programmer Analyst is responsible for development, enhancement and support of interfaces, applications and modifications to our existing ERP system. It is the Sr. Programmer Analyst’s responsibility to analyze, assist with requirements gathering and create solutions from those requirements. The Sr. Programmer Analyst function is to determine the business requirements and then build, modify, and create interfaces between our ERP system and external applications. These solutions will be developed using our programming standards. It is a primary responsibility of the Sr. Programmer Analyst to document the functionality of the solution, the testing requirements/test plans, and the validation of the solution. The Sr. Programmer Analyst will participate in regular code reviews and will be responsible for deployment and support of solutions within the ERP system
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·Use strategic thinking to see the big picture, determine the problem and to build systems accordingly.
·Responsible for development of modifications to our ERP system using established standards
·Responsible for PL/SQL script creation in support of our existing applications and new development activities
·Responsible for T-SQL development in support of reporting, migration and data management in relation to our SQL Server data warehouse
·Work with other developers and analysts to create systems based on existing architecture and environments to solve business issues
·Work with other developers and analysts to design and create interfaces to assist the business
·Assist in post production and on call support activities assigned to the application development group.
·Responsible for the documentation of the functionality of the solution, the testing requirements/test plans, and the validation of the solution
·Responsible for Source Control and standards.
·Required to ensure that the proper level of data validation and integrity checks exist
·Design and Develop applications / modifications to existing interfaces as well as new interfaces centered around and within our ERP system
·Interface with Business Stakeholders and IT teams to ensure business requirements are accurately met.
·Assist with training and rollout plans for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
·Prepare and deliver insights and recommendations based on analysis.
·Maintain a working knowledge of business unit processes, procedures and current applications.
Assist with the development, enhancement, and support of EDI maps and programs.
Assist with the development, enhancement, and support of reports.
Education and Experience Requirements:
·Bachelors Degree in Information Systems. MBA or equivalent business experience preferred.
·4+ years .Net development experience against Oracle and/or SQL Server databases
·Familiarity with an ERP environment
·5+ years experience in systems analysis, design and programming.
5+ years experience in with PL/SQL and TSQL.
5+ years Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases with Oracle PL/SQL and T-SQL programming experience.
1+ Year experience with Crystal Analysis and Crystal Reports.
1+ Year experience with EDI development, preferably with Sterling Commerce Gentran Integration Suite or Sterling Integrator.
