Environmental Water/Wastewater Process Engineer

The primary duties of the Environmental Water/Wastewater Process Engineer is to independently create detailed designs, plans, specifications and estimates for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, tanks and other water and wastewater storage and conveyance systems. More specific responsibilities include engineering/process design, preparing design calculations for hydraulics, treatment processes, pumping systems, etc.
The candidate will be required to provide project coordination, determining and writing engineering specifications, planning work, establish appropriate design methods, report preparation and coordination, equipment sizing and selection and working directly with the owner.Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
Minimum of 5 years experience as a project engineer on municipal water and wastewater facilities, pipelines, and pump stations in Georgia is required.
Professional (P.E.) licensure is required. Prefer Georgia P.E. and Georgia Erosion and Sedimentation Level II certification is highly desirable.
Experience in treatment mechanical/ process/ hydraulics design is required.
Strong technical background and experience in Designing Water and Wastewater Utility Systems, Pipelines, Pump Stations, and Treatment Plants. Construction experience is a plus.
Software knowledge: Microsoft Office, Hydraulic modeling software such as Visual Hydraulics or AFT Fathom. Process modeling such as Biowin or GPSX is a plus.
Must have knowledge of CADD platform required to develop quality construction documents.
Project Engineering and Project Management experience is necessary.
