Continuous Improvement Specialist
Essilor of America, Inc. (Essilor), is the leading manufacturer and wholesaler of prescription lenses in the United States.
We currently have a Continuous Improvement Specialist career opportunity at our Columbus, OH location.
Responsible for establishing and improving upon KPI objectives with respect to quality, financial, productivity, etc… Act as the Lead the for Lean Sigma initiatives.
Manage Lean Sigma projects for the Columbus facility (productivity improvement, kaizen events, waste reduction, yield improvement, cycle times, rework, etc.).
Analyze candidate projects and evaluate the potential financial benefits with the General Manager.
Rank projects for prioritization for Steering Committee approval.
Responsible for supporting yellow belt and green belt training.
Ensures that the defined methodology is followed using the standardized reporting for benchmarking, communication, and project management.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field required. Formal training in Lean/Six Sigma or related team experience in Lean/Six Sigma initiatives. Strong communication and presentation skills required with the ability to foster learning and team building skills. Should possess process knowledge and have an understanding of customer requirements and basic business practices.

Strong ability to communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written form to internal/external customers, all management levels, team members and co-workers
Knowledge of standard software applications, i.e. Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Access.
