DCM Inc. is a construction management company managing the execution of a conglomerate of affiliated construction contractors. We are currently executing several major projects, and are continuing to expand our presence throughout Canada.
Support the Vice-President, of Western Canada in all the HR issues at the Sherwood Park office located in the Edmonton area. Reports to the HR Manager located at the Montreal office. Maintain the link between the Montreal Corporate HR Department to ensure commitment to Corporate policies and procedures at all levels of the organization.
Functions and duties:
Act as the HR resource for the Vice-President, Western Canada;
Monitor performance and evaluation program for Western Canada employees;
Coordinate staff recruitment, this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, short listing, interviewing and selecting candidates;
Maintain the coverage within any changes of the insurance group package for Western Canada employees;
Contribute to the development and implementation of recruitment strategies;
Analyze the training needs in conjunction with departmental managers and training coordinator;
Maintain and update the wage structure;
Evaluate and respond to the internal Clients needs (office staff and tradesmen);
Cooperate into different HR projects in collaboration with the head office in Montreal;
Responsible for the Employee’s on boarding and off boarding;
Assist with the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources Department.
2 - 5 years of experience in the construction industry (Oil Sands sector an asset);
Experience in various areas of Human Resources;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Intermediate Computer Skills: MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel);
Experience with Taleo Business Edition (an asset);
English literate (verbal and written), French (an asset).
High School Diploma completed;
Human resources certification (an asset);
Equivalent combination of education and work experience would be taken into consideration;
CHRP member (an asset).

$50 000 to $60 000 annually.
