Job Overview:
Primarily responsible for: Overseeing the execution of business development / maintenance of all business requirements for your assigned area. This will be achieved by designing and implementing plans and strategies, monitoring sales results and ensuring customer satisfaction is reached. As the successful candidate you will have the ability to motivate and challenge staff to exceed expectations and to maintain and promote technical and operational excellence to optimize operations. This is a safety sensitive position and qualified candidates are required to complete drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Nalco Champion’s Drug and Alcohol policy CBU Drug & Alcohol Policy.
Territory/Location Information: This position is based in Lloydminster, AB.
Main Responsibilities:

Coach a team of field staff and administration providing both technical and business guidance and assisting individuals with their career development through ongoing performance reviews and evaluations

Review and approve project scope and economic evaluations and prepare budgetary forecasts.

Coordinate regular performance and project update meetings to effectively communicate goals and targets necessary to deliver on approved operating plans.

Ensure timely and effective communications within the team.

Support the recruitment and successful integration of high caliber people into the organization in order to build bench strength to allow for an active succession planning process.

Recommend / implement area development plans leading to appropriate capital spending.

Perform technical reviews and provide recommendations.

Monitor capital spending and production results to ensure internal reporting is timely and accurate. Ensure timely completion of current capital programs. Adjust future plans based on your analysis.

Maintain current sales levels and increase sales volumes and profit margins (through relationship building, cold calls, etc.).

Engage in prospecting activities to create opportunities for sales.

Manage chemical programs and field applications.

Resolve chemical and system problems.

Reduce the Total Cost of Ownership for customer chemical programs.

Continually add value to both customer operations and Nalco Champion.
Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years specialty chemical/oilfield sales or marketing experience providing support at an intermediate level

Thorough understanding of safety policies and procedures with a personal commitment to safety

Proven track record managing accounts and client relationships

Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills

Strong communication skills including written, verbal, listening and presentation

Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, Outlook

General business and financial acumen

Time management and prioritization abilities

Specialty chemical product and application knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
