WHAT IS AN EXECUTIVE PRODUCER AT POSSIBLE?

The Executive Producer is a partner to the creative lead, protecting the creative vision and delivering the work in production. He/she a source of positivity and leadership in the Group; encourages positive thinking, a sense of team, enthusiasm, and a spirit of innovation. The Executive Producer is passionate about delivering the best creative work possible, is able to quickly understanding a new set of client/brand, initiative, agency partners, and status and be able to rapidly assimilate into the brand/client team in a collaborative leadership role. This person provides guidance and problem solving to the production team, and seeks solutions to help the creative team deliver as much within the work as possible. The Executive Producer manages a team of Producers and Senior Producers.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • ·       Oversee, manage, and provide mentorship to a team of Producers
  • ·       Guide Producers in the planning and management of their projects
  • ·       Consult with the Account/Creative leads in the planning and concepting phases on feasibility, scope, budget, timing and resource allocation; bring solutions
  • ·       Consult with Client Operations and VP, Account Service on group staffing needs, revenue opportunity projections, and investment projections
  • ·       Serves as a member of the Group Leadership Team. In doing so helps to ensure that the business and creative goals for the Group are met.
  • ·       Track success of projects in progress and provide feedback and direction to the Producer team when needed
  • ·       Provide guidance and problem solving to the production team and encourage the same behavior with all of the Producers
  • ·       Participate in new business responses and pitches
  • ·       Serve as the lead producer on projects requiring the specific oversight and ownership of a very senior producer
  • ·       Act as the point of escalation on production for the group internally and with clients when necessary
  • ·       Oversee scope and resource planning for all projects within the Group
  • ·       Work with the CD/ACD to assign resources to projects and resolve conflicts when they arise within the Group
  • ·       Lead and manage the effective use of group resources and work with Resource Management to attain additional resources from other Groups or the network
  • ·       Oversee the creation and delivery of trainings for Producers within your Group and work with the Director of Production to lead/assist in training the greater production staff
  • ·       Lead the improvement of workflow processes, maintaining quality and fostering innovation
  • ·       Provide leadership to the Producers in terms of mentoring and guiding on projects or as separate mentorship assignments

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ·       10+ years relevant professional experience
  • ·       8+ years of Producer, Account, or PM experience managing multi-phased projects (agency or similar)
  • ·       Digital marketing experience preferred
  • ·       Has demonstrated consistently the ability to lead multi-faceted large digital/video/event projects on time and on budget while maintaining effective client and team relationships
  • ·       Maintains a network of industry contacts
  • ·       Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • ·       Calm under pressure, thrives and functions objectively in a fast-paced environment
  • ·       Knowledge of production best practices and processes
  • ·       Strong problem solving ability. Biased toward finding solutions and removing barriers to progress
  • ·       Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or Keynote, and Project and/or other scheduling tools, as well as audio software suites for work review purposes
  • ·       Bachelor’s degree required
  • ·       Proven supervisory experience and management/leadership skills
