Who You Would Be
The Account Supervisor is a relationship builder (and maintainer) and a thought leader, achieving growth on existing accounts and ensuring world-class work. He or she is also a digitally savvy, cross-functional team leader that manages the internal Account Executive team smartly, diligently and with flexibility. And of course he or she would be a professional and possess outstanding problem-solving, communications and organizational skills as well.
The Really Really
The Account Supervisor provides strategic and marketing leadership. He or she works with clients to uncover business needs and objectives, build appropriate strategies, and identify and implement products to help achieve client goals to build top-line revenue. Acting as the agency’s “expert” on a given client and/or business category, he or she leads the agency’s efforts to become a valuable resource to the client’s organization. The Account Supervisor will offer insights based on marketing and industry expertise while learning the client’s organization and decision-making process and interfaces as needed with all key members of the client organization. He or she represents the client internally, partnering with Project Management to ensure successful execution while delivering results that meet or exceed objectives.
Leadership among the team plays a large role in the Account Supervisor position. He or she mentors and trains Account Executives and Associate Account Executives to ensure they are performing their duties in a satisfactory manner. This includes having weekly one-on-ones and creating, reviewing and approving creative briefs.
The Account Supervisor leads the development of client presentations, project plans, and proposals. He or she should always be seeking new business opportunities and finding opportunities for innovation on current accounts. He or she will also work with the new business team to develop new client opportunities outside current client organizations.
The Account Supervisor plays a key role in achieving the key business objectives of POSSIBLE. He or she accurately forecasts revenue and business-staffing needs as well as planning, budgeting for, billing, and managing the client service team resource allocation and quality of deliverables. In this, he or she owns cash flow management.
• 5+ years relevant experience
• Interactive marketing or other agency experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated track record of client relationship development and service
• Proven experience in managing teams working cross-functionally within an organization
• Experience in Internet businesses and client management
• Excellent communication skills including both verbal and written
• Must be proactive and a self-starter
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Nice To Haves
• Master’s Degree
• Proficiency in Keynote, Maconomy, CSB/Sonar 6
