RESEARCH POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP
Research on Dynamic Psychotherapy (Start Date: Flexible)
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research fellowship position in psychodynamic psychotherapy research under the direction of Jacques Barber at the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University on Long Island, NY. The position is for a year with the potential to be renewed for a second year. Successful candidates will be involved in research related to different aspects of psychodynamic psychotherapy research (including both outcome and process research) in Jacques Barber’s lab.
Opportunities exist for participation in data analysis/manuscript preparation, grant writing, and ongoing collaborative research. There may also be opportunities for teaching.
Applicants should have
Completed their doctoral degree by the start of employment
Shown interest and publications in psychotherapy research, in psychodynamic thinking and in other psychotherapy systems.
Demonstrated excellent writing and research skills
Demonstrated a commitment to an academic career.
Clinical experience consistent with a recent PhD.
Strong quantitative skills. Additional experience/interest in longitudinal statistical analyses and SEM are a plus.
