HOURS: 25 hrs. Flexible as needed.
Reporting to the Dean of the College of Nursing and Public Health, the Suffolk County Nursing Coordinator is a part-time position responsible for developing and strengthening partnerships with community agencies, colleges and universities, as well civic and public entities to promote the nursing programs throughout Suffolk and Nassau Counties. The Coordinator engages in an array of student recruitment and enrollment management functions, program planning, handling student problems as well as coordinating classes and class rooms with site directors.
Develop relationships with feeder colleges and universities, implement articulation agreements with programs in the region, expand contacts with social service agencies for workforce development;
Collaborate with the Dean, College and University offices in developing and implementing marketing activities for the College’s programs
Responsible for updating program materials such as marketing flyers that are specific to the Suffolk County region;
Plan and implement information sessions and open house events;
Provide outreach to individuals inquiring about educational programs, maintain ongoing communication with applicants, and accepted students (not yet enrolled);
Oversee the Suffolk County admission process, including maintaining records, interviewing applicants, liaison with College and University offices;
Provide academic advisement to newly accepted students in collaboration with the Garden City Student relations offices and program directors.
Participate in overall CNPH outreach, recruitment, retention and admission projects and processes
Other duties as assigned.

An advanced degree & Administrative background in higher education or community public relations is highly desirable.
